Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu)- Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is on his way back in IPL 2025. However, he will not be available for the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Friday and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 7.

ESPNcricinfo has learned that Bumrah is currently giving the final round of fitness tests at the NCA Bengaluru. He can join the MI team and play in the IPL only after getting clearance from the BCCI medical team. Bumrah has been rehabbing at the NCA since January. He had a stress problem in his lower back. Bumrah himself is very conscious of his injury and wants to make sure that he is fit before returning to action. India is scheduled to tour England for five Tests a month after the IPL, which will also be the new start of the World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. Bumrah has played a total of 133 IPL matches for MI since 2013 and has taken 165 wickets. Earlier, he could not play the 2023 season due to a back injury. His recent injury was during the last Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Sydney on January 4. After this he did not bowl in the Test match and then was also out of the Champions Trophy.
