Mandeep Singh Announces Wedding Date, Set to Tie the Knot on March 21

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Indian hockey star Mandeep Singh, hailing from Jalandhar is set to marry Olympic player Udita Duhan on March 21, 2025, in what has become a highly anticipated event in Punjab and on social media. The wedding of these two Olympians is making waves, with preparations already in full swing.

Udita Duhan a defender for the Indian women’s hockey team, is from Hisar, Haryana. The couple will tie the knot at Shri Gurudwara Singh Sabha in Model Town, Jalandhar, with both families deeply involved in the wedding arrangements. A DJ party, with Indian hockey team members in attendance, will take place on March 19. On the wedding day, the baraat will depart from the house at 8 a.m. and the 'Anand Karaj' ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. Following the wedding, a reception on March 22 will host players, police officers, and politicians.

Udita Duhan's career has been impressive. She debuted at the senior level in 2017 and was part of the Indian team that won silver at the 2018 Asian Games, bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and gold at the 2023 Asian Champions Trophy. Her remarkable performance also helped India secure a historic fourth-place finish at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. In addition, she was the highest-earning player in the Women’s Hockey India League auction last year. Despite the loss of her father in 2016, Udita’s resilience and determination have been an inspiration to many.
