New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a shocking and bizarre incident from Chhattisgarh, a 35-year-old man, Anand Yadav, tragically died after swallowing a live chicken chick. The incident, reported from Ambikapur, has left both doctors and locals stunned, especially as the chick was discovered still alive inside the victim's body during the post-mortem.

The incident took place in Chhindkalo village, where Anand was brought to the Medical College Hospital in Ambikapur after collapsing at home. His family members stated that he felt dizzy and fainted after returning from a bath. Initially, doctors could not determine the cause of his death. However, during the post-mortem examination, they made a chilling discovery. Upon making an incision near his throat, the doctors found a fully alive chick, measuring about 20 cm in length, lodged in such a way that it obstructed both the airway and the food passage, causing suffocation.

Dr. Santu Bag, who conducted the post-mortem, expressed shock at the findings. "This is the first time I have encountered such a case in my career, having conducted over 15,000 post-mortems. The findings shocked us all," Dr. Bag said.

Villagers have speculated that Anand's actions were influenced by occult practices, as he had been in touch with a local 'tantrik' (occultist). Some believe that Anand, who had been struggling with infertility, may have ingested the live chick as part of a ritual to fulfill his wish of becoming a father. Authorities have been informed, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic and perplexing death.
