Malvinder Singh Kang Joins Devotees for Kar Seva at Historic Temple Site in Kharar

Kharar (Shashi Jain): Member of Parliament from Sri Anandpur Sahib Malvinder Singh Kang participated in the Kar Seva of the under construction Shri Ram Mandir in Kharar yesterday. Although it was very hot at that time, yet with immense reverence he took off his shoes and socks in his vehicle away from the temple and walked barefoot around the under construction temple and participated in the Kar Seva by pouring concrete in the pillar being built on the first floor. On this occasion, among others, Antar Singh Brar Advocate, Hakam Singh Chairman Market Committee, Jatinder Rana, Vikas Chadha, Dr. MS Sandhu, Rupinder Singh Brar, Sanjay Kumar, Ram Saroop MC, Vaneet Jain MC, Anil Kansal etc. were present.

Kang said on the occasion that it is a matter of great joy that the Punjab government has spent an amount of about 8 crore rupees for the new construction of Maharaja Ajj Sarovar belonging to the ancestors of Lord Ram Chandra ji. The government has built a restaurant at this place, made a roundabout to place the statue of Lord Ram and a platform for the construction of a temple and has also paved the area around both with stones.

He said that it is a matter of happiness that now the city residents are building Shri Ram Mandir by rising above caste and creed. He said that when this temple is completed, this place will be known as a pilgrimage site and people from not only Punjab but also from other parts of the country will come here to pay their respects and attain peace. He said that the Punjab government will give its full contribution to this project and no one will be allowed to create obstacles in this work. He said that he has also appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Mann to visit this place soon.

He said that during the Ramayana period, there was a very big temple at this place, the proof of which is that when the pond was excavated, many ancient statues were found here, which have been preserved by the present managers.
