Shockwaves in Jagraon! Powerful Truck Blast Heard 4 KM Away—Bridge Sealed Off

Jagraon (The Uttam Hindu): A major accident occurred in Jagraon late Tuesday night when a massive explosion took place in a truck on the bridge outside Gurdwara Nanaksar Sahib on Moga Road. The truck was completely reduced to ashes in the blast, which occurred around midnight.

Chowki Bus Stand Police Officer Balraj Singh stated that the explosion was caused by the detonation of two CNG cylinders in the truck. The blast was so powerful that its sound was heard within a 3-4 kilometre radius, alarming locals. All the biscuits loaded in the truck were destroyed in the incident.

Upon receiving the report, the Nagar Council fire brigade quickly arrived at the scene and managed to control the fire. For safety reasons, the police stationed an ambulance on the bridge and closed it to the public. Smoke continued to billow from the truck until around 12:30 am.

The police confirmed that the truck driver managed to escape by jumping out after the explosion. However, there is no information yet on his identity or current condition. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
