License Scam Fallout: Punjab Govt Suspends Vigilance Bureau Chief and Others
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): In a significant move to strengthen its anti-corruption campaign, the Punjab government has suspended Vigilance Bureau Chief Director Surinder Pal Singh Parmar, along with SSP Vigilance Swaranpreet Singh and AIG Harpreet Singh. This action marks the first time a Vigilance Chief has faced such action by any government.
Action Taken Over Driving License Scam
The suspension comes after the vigilance chief was found allegedly lax in taking action in the driving license scam. Investigation Continues
The action against the vigilance chief and other officers demonstrates the government's resolve to tackle corruption. The investigation into the driving license scam is ongoing, with authorities working to hold those responsible accountable.
