Tragic Bus Collision Claims 26 Lives, 28 Injured in Critical Condition
Abidjan: A tragic accident occurred in Ivory Coast, resulting in the deaths of at least 26 people and injuries to 28 others following a horrific collision between two buses. The accident took place in Brokoa village, located in the central-western part of the country. The Transport Ministry confirmed the incident and announced that an investigation has been launched.
Victims Died from Burn Injuries
According to the Transport Ministry, ten of the 26 fatalities were caused by burn injuries from a fire that broke out after the crash. Local media coverage showed dramatic footage of both buses engulfed in flames, with panic spreading throughout the area following the accident.

In the aftermath of the accident, the Transport Minister issued a statement urging the public to exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules. He emphasized that many road accidents can be avoided by following safety regulations and expressed his condolences for the lives lost.

This accident follows a string of deadly crashes in the country. Just last month, 21 people were killed and 10 injured in a major road accident. Earlier this year, a collision between a tanker and a bus in northern Ivory Coast claimed 13 lives and left 44 others injured.
