New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The strength of the Indian Air Force is going to increase. The Ministry of Defense has signed a deal of Rs 13,500 crore with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Under this, 12 Su-30MKI will be upgraded with indigenous technology. That is, dangerous stealth technology, AESA radar, mission computer, electronic warfare suite, cockpit layout and weapons system are going to change in it.

62 percent of the components in these new fighter jets will be indigenous, which will give a boost to the indigenous defense industry. HAL's Nasik plant will do this work. This is the first phase of the campaign to convert 84 Su-30MKI of the Indian Air Force into Super Sukhoi. These fighter jets will be prepared for a completely new war environment.

More advanced Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars will be installed in the new upgraded Su-30MKI, which will have a greater detection range. This means that it will be able to detect the enemy from a much greater distance, target tracking will improve. Along with this, electronic warfare capabilities will also increase. This will increase the situational awareness and survival chances of the aircraft during war.

The new fighter jet will have state-of-the-art digital displays and upgraded mission computers. With its help, the pilot will get better and accurate information about the battlefield, so that he can fly the fighter jet more effectively and kill the enemy.
