Patna (The Uttam Hindu): Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar and over 30 party workers were taken into custody by Patna police while attempting to surround Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's residence. The Congress workers, including Youth Congress national president Udaybhan and state president Garibdas, were part of the 'Stop Migration, Provide Jobs' campaign.

Police Action

The police used water cannons to disperse the crowd, but the Congress workers did not back down. The situation was eventually brought under control, with the police detaining the protesters.

Kanhaiya Kumar's Statement

Before being taken into custody, Kanhaiya Kumar stated that the BJP has cornered Nitish Kumar, but it should be the other way around. He emphasized that his fight is against unemployment and criticized the state government for its handling of the issue.

Congress General Secretary Sachin Pilot, who was present in Patna for the conclusion of the padyatra, attacked the Bihar government over the issue of paper leaks. He criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his party, the Janata Dal (United), for their handling of the situation.
