Husband Dies by Suicide After Emotional Plea: 'Please Think About Men Too'
Agra (The Uttam Hindu)- A case similar to the Atul Subhash case of Bengaluru has come to light in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Here a man has committed suicide after accusing his wife of harassment. The deceased had also made a video before committing suicide, in which he said that he was fed up with the harassment.
The case is of Defense Colony located in Sadar area of Agra. The deceased Manav Sharma was working as a recruitment manager in an IT company. According to ASP Vinayak Gopal Bhosale, on the morning of 25 February, the police received information from the Military Hospital that a person named Manav was brought in dead. After this, Sadar Hospital took cognizance of the matter and during investigation it was found that the deceased had committed suicide by hanging himself in his house. After this, the police got the post-mortem of the deceased done. Vinayak Gopal Bhosale said that Manav's mobile phone was also recovered, in which a video was found. Through this video, the strained relationship between Manav and his wife came to light. This is why Manav committed suicide. After receiving the complaint from the family, a case has been registered under the sections of BNS and further investigation is being done.
Actually, Manav made a video before committing suicide. In this video, he is seen with a noose around his neck. Accusing his wife in the video, Manav said, "I came to know about my wife's relationship with someone else. I am fed up with my wife. Men should also be talked about. They become very lonely. I have tried to commit suicide many times before." Manav also said that when there is no man left, then no accusation can be made. Expressing his pain in the video, Manav is saying, "Sorry mummy papa, everything will be fine once I leave, so let me go. I just want to say that do not disturb my parents at all." Before this incident, there was a conversation on WhatsApp between Manav's wife Nikita and Manav's sister. Where Nikita said that Manav has drunk and is standing on a chair and has put a dupatta around his neck. He is alone in the room and will do something. I am scared. On Nikita's statement, ASP Vinayak Gopal Bhosale said that I would appeal to Manav's wife to come and present her side before us. Whatever is right in the case, action will be taken on that basis. Whatever Manav's wife wants to say in her defense, she should come and say it before the police.
