Horrible end to domestic discord, woman committed suicide by hanging herself along with her three children

Pratapgarh (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic incident unfolded in Bhadohi village of Kotwali Dehat, where a woman, distressed by domestic issues, took her own life along with her three children. The deaths of the four family members have left both the family and the entire village in shock. The three children, all of whom were only one and a half years old, were born together.

The incident occurred on Friday evening when 23-year-old Rajeshwari, also known as Komal, was reportedly beaten by her husband, Sandeep Kumar Gautam, who was under the influence of alcohol. Afterward, the family ate and went to bed. The situation turned tragic the next morning when the room remained locked, and despite repeated attempts, it could not be opened until 8:30 am. Villagers gathered, and by 9:00 am, they broke the door open. Inside, Komal and her son Raunak were found hanging from a sari, while her two daughters, Ujala and Laxmi, were found hanging from another noose.

SP Dr. Anil Kumar confirmed that the incident appears to be a suicide driven by domestic discord, and an investigation is underway.
