Fresh Firing on LoC: Indian Army Responds Firmly to Pakistani Provocation
Jammu (The Uttam Hindu): Frightened by the attack on terrorism, Pakistan is not refraining from firing on the Line of Control. On the night of 27-28 April, Pakistan's army once again opened fire across the Line of Control. Without any provocation, Pakistan's army has now fired across the Line of Control in the border areas of Kupwara and Poonch. The Indian Army has given a befitting reply to Pakistan by firing back.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan, frightened by the action being taken against terrorists, has started firing on the Line of Control since Friday. Earlier, on the night of 26-27 April, firing was done from Pakistan's military posts in the areas opposite Tutmari Gali and Rampur sector, to which the army gave a befitting reply.
According to the army, on the night of 27-28 April, Pakistani army posts started unprovoked firing of small arms from across the Line of Control in opposite areas of Kupwara and Poonch districts. Indian soldiers responded immediately and effectively. This firing is being done by Pakistan from across the Line of Control without any provocation. The firing so far has been done with small arms. In retaliation, the Indian Army has also responded effectively with appropriate small arms firing.
The Pakistani army has been firing from the other side of the Line of Control for the last four days. The Indian Army has given a quick and strong response every time. This series of firing started after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. In this environment, an important meeting was held on Sunday between Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. This meeting between the Defense Minister and General Anil Chauhan lasted for about 40 minutes.
It is believed that during this time, General Anil Chauhan apprised the Defense Minister of military strategy and preparations to eliminate terrorism. This meeting took place at the residence of the Defense Minister in Delhi. On Sunday itself, Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) Daljit Singh Chaudhary also reached the Home Ministry. The Home Ministry has discussed the ongoing campaign against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. It is believed that the Director General of BSF has shared information about the current situation of the border areas with the Home Ministry here.
