50-Year-Old Woman Elopes with 30-Year-Old Grandson, Gets Married in Shocking Turn of Events
Ambedkar Nagar (The Uttam Hindu): A bizarre incident has come to light in Uttar Pradesh's Ambedkarnagar district, where a 50-year-old woman named Indrawati has run away with her 30-year-old grandson, Azad, and got married to him in a temple.
Secret Affair Uncovered
According to reports, Indrawati and Azad had been secretly carrying on a romantic relationship, despite being grandmother and grandson. The two, who lived near each other, would often meet without arousing any suspicion. However, things took a turn when Indrawati's husband, Chandrashekhar, caught them talking secretly four days before they eloped.
Husband's Desperate Measures
Chandrashekhar strongly opposed their relationship and even approached the police for help, but they refused to file a complaint, citing that both Indrawati and Azad were adults and had the right to choose their partners. Feeling betrayed and heartbroken, Chandrashekhar has decided to perform a ritual called "terahvi" to symbolically declare Indrawati "dead" to him.
Alleged Plan to Poison Family
It has also been revealed that Indrawati had allegedly planned with Azad to poison her husband and children to get rid of them. Indrawati, a mother of four, including two sons and two daughters, has left her entire family behind to marry her grandson. The couple got married in a temple, exchanging vows and performing the traditional rituals. After the ceremony, they disappeared from the village, leaving behind a trail of shock and outrage.
