Deadly Blaze in Rice Mill: Suffocation Kills 5, 3 Workers Critical After Dryer Bursts

Bahraich (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic incident occurred on Friday at the Rajgadhiya Rice Mill located in Mohalla Ghulam Alipura of the Dargah area. A massive fire broke out due to the bursting of the dryer in the mill, in which five labourers died due to suffocation, while the condition of three others remains critical. The deceased have been identified as Gaffar Ali (40), Bablu (28), Rajnesh Kumar (35), residents of Gadvana Saury of Kannauj, Jahoor (50), a resident of Siriya of Shravasti and Bittu Shah (30), a resident of Bihariganj Madehpura of Bihar.

The injured were immediately admitted to the medical college, where doctors have declared their condition critical. As soon as the information was received, District Magistrate Monika Rani and Superintendent of Police Ramnayan Singh reached the medical college and enquired about the condition of the injured. The administration has ordered an inquiry into the matter. The fire brigade team on the spot controlled the fire after a lot of hard work. The accident has created panic in the area.
