Daughter Brutally Beats Elderly Mother, Video Goes Viral; Police Take Action

Hisar (The Uttam Hindu): A disturbing video of a woman allegedly beating her elderly mother has gone viral on social media, leading to police action in Hisar's Azad Nagar area. In the three-minute clip, Rita is seen physically assaulting her mother, Nirmala Devi, and using abusive language. Following the video's widespread circulation, the police have registered a case under various sections.

The complaint was filed by Nirmala Devi's son, Amardeep Singh, who accused his sister, Rita, of abusing and harassing their elderly mother both physically and mentally. According to the complaint, Rita, who was married to Sanjay Punia from a village near Rajgarh two years ago, returned to her parental home shortly after the marriage and has been living there since then. Amardeep also alleges that Rita tried to forcibly take control of the family’s property. He claims Rita sold a property in Kurukshetra for Rs 65 lakh and kept the entire amount for herself. Additionally, Amardeep says Rita forced her husband to stay in the house and continually harassed their mother, even attempting to get her to transfer ownership of the current house to Rita’s name under threat.

According to Amardeep, he has been forced to live separately from his mother for the past two years due to Rita's threats of making false allegations against him. He further revealed that when he tried to visit his mother, he was not allowed to enter the house and was accused of making false claims.

The incident has shocked the local community and authorities are investigating the case.
