Congress MP Attacked by Mob, Beaten in Front of Police – Head Injured in Chaos

Kaimur (The Uttam Hindu): A deadly attack was made on Sasaram's Congress MP Manoj Kumar. MP Manoj Ram was attacked in Mohania of Kaimur. This incident happened near his brother's school, St. John International. There was a clash between the procession going out after the PACS election and the school bus driver. The MP who went to intervene was injured by the mob. The MP has suffered a head injury. The police took immediate action and sent the MP to the hospital and safely took the school children home.

The attack on the Congress MP

took place near Nathopur village in Kudra police station area. Mrityunjay Bharti, brother of Sasaram MP Manoj Ram, is the owner of this school. A victory procession was being taken out after the results of the PACS elections were announced. During this, an altercation broke out between the school bus driver and some people in the procession. This altercation turned into a fight. MP Manoj Kumar arrived to intervene. He pacified the people by explaining them and sent the procession away from there. However, after some time 8-10 people returned to the school with sticks and spears and started a ruckus again. MP Manoj Kumar went to explain them again, but this time he was attacked. The MP has suffered a head injury in this attack.

Dispute regarding school

MP's brother Mrityunjay Bharti said that after the result of vote counting was announced, people were taking out a procession. During this, those people started misbehaving. They beat up the driver of our bus. When the honorable MP came, he somehow convinced the people and sent them away from here. Then later eight to ten people came near the school with sticks and spears and started misbehaving. When the honorable MP went to convince, they attacked him. His head was fractured. On getting the information of the incident, Kaimur SP, Mohania DSP, Mohania SDM along with a heavy police force reached the spot. MP Manoj Kumar was immediately taken to Mohania subdivisional hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The police sent all the school children safely to their homes.

Mohania DSP Pradeep Kumar said that there was a dispute going on with the people of Bharigaon regarding the school. Meanwhile, the dispute escalated and a fight broke out. More than half a dozen people, including the MP, have been injured. The MP is undergoing treatment. A large number of forces, including the SP, are deployed there. The police have started investigating the case and security has been increased around the incident spot. The police also has the video footage of the incident, which is being investigated.
