According to media reports, while no official decision has been made yet, poor performances in the Champions Trophy could prompt the BCCI to take strict measures that might signal the end of their illustrious careers.

The BCCI recently conducted a comprehensive review of the Australia tour in a meeting that lasted over two hours. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and coach Gautam Gambhir attended the meeting alongside BCCI President Roger Binny and Secretary Devjit Saikia. Discussions centered around the team's shortcomings during the series, particularly the batting lineup's failure to deliver despite its strength.
