Sanaa (The Uttam Hindu) : Yemen's Houthi group announced that they conducted a drone attack on a ship in the Arabian Sea using bomb-laden drones. The operation targeted the vessel Megalopolis and was framed as a show of support for the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance movements. The group's military spokesperson, Yahya Sarea, stated that the operation successfully achieved its objectives, according to a report by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV.

The spokesperson explained that the ship was targeted due to its ownership by a company that has "dealings" with Israel. He reiterated the group's commitment to continue targeting any ships linked to Israel or associated with Israeli interests. Sarea emphasized that the Houthi group would persist in their attacks against Israel using missiles and drones until what they termed the "aggression against Gaza and Lebanon" ceases.

Since November of last year, the Houthi group has been actively targeting vessels they allege are linked to Israel in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, as part of their broader campaign to demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza. The group did not specify the exact timing of the recent attack.
