Islamabad/Kabul (The Uttam Hindu): Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have escalated as the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has taken control of a Pakistani military base. Videos circulating on social media show TTP militants celebrating and waving weapons.

According to sources, the TTP seized the military base in Salarzai, located in the Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and raised their flag at the site. This comes after the Pakistani army conducted airstrikes on TTP positions in Afghanistan, with the Taliban claiming that more than 46 people were killed in the attacks. Since then, tensions between the two countries have intensified.

In a video posted on the social media page "Kabul Frontline," the TTP claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that they had delivered a strong response to the Pakistani army. Experts warn that this incident could further strain relations between the two nations and have urged both sides to seek a peaceful resolution.
