Canada(The Uttam Hindu):

Peel Police, Canada said the officer involved in a clash with protesters at the Hindu Mandir in Brampton "acted within the lawful execution of his duties."

Of course, there is also an official statement from Peel Police, which underlines that there was an earnest commitment to addressing complains about the conduct of officers and confirmed that a review had been conducted into the incident. "After an investigation, it was concluded that the officer shown in the video was attempting to disarm an individual who refused to relinquish their weapon and became confrontational, thereby acting within the lawful execution of his duties," it stated.

A viral video shows the alleged assault of a protester by the officer questioned by the protester about police overuse of force.

Pro-Khalistan protesters armed with banners attended the Indian officials' consular event at Brampton's Hindu Mandir on November 3, disrupting the said event and reportedly attacking persons with sticks outside the temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the violence as well.

A fatal fire erupted in Brampton Monday night, killing an Indian-origin couple and their daughter under still mysterious circumstances.

"What the video doesn't pick up is the officer identifying a protester to take hold of a weapon that he had," Const. Tyler Bell-Morena said. "The protester backed into the crowd, and that's where he and others began to physically resist the officer. Police reviewed the body-worn camera footage the officer was wearing,".

The police seem to try to take a stick out of the protesters' hands, and this provokes a fight. After police succeed in grabbing the stick from the protesters, they start dispersing the people.

The statement concluded with: "Peel Regional Police are dedicated to respecting an individual's right to peacefully assemble, as contemplated by and within the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. That said, there is zero tolerance for acts of violence, threats of violence or vandalism associated with peaceful assemblies. We appreciate the cooperation of those who maintained peace during these events.".
