Pakistan (The Uttam Hindu) : 10 Pakistani citizens have been arrested in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on charges of begging. These include five women and five men. UAE authorities have taken this step by taking strict action against those begging in public places. Preparations are now being made to deport all the arrested persons to Pakistan. Pakistani YouTuber Shoaib Chaudhary wanted to know the opinion of the public on the matter. On this, a person said that this is their job. They collect money by begging there and come here and build a house. Beggars work with training. Their children are also involved in this work. The person further said that Pakistanis do not even get proper work after going to UAE. Because of this, they start begging. The Pakistani man said that my brother lives in Dubai. He says that Indians living here are very hardworking. They have skills. They are never seen begging on the streets. However, in the case of Pakistanis it is the opposite. They are often seen begging on the roadside.


Women sent to jail

Let us tell you that the women recently arrested in UAE include Amna Bibi, Kausar Bibi, and Farzana Bibi from Vehari district of Punjab along with Jamila Bibi and Zubaida Bibi from Lahore. They were detained while begging and sent to jail. They will soon be deported to Pakistan from UAE. Similarly, five Pakistani men were also arrested, including Muhammad Zakaria (Dera Ghazi Khan), Wasim Haider (Bahawalnagar), Mohammad Usman (Lahore), Ejaz Khan (Charsadda), and Abdullah (Peshawar). All of them have been issued emergency passports so that they can be sent back to Pakistan.

Warning to residents: Do not give money to beggars

UAE police recently warned residents not to give money to people begging on the streets, mosques, and public places. Authorities say strict measures are being taken to prevent such activities.

Deportation and travel ban

All Pakistani nationals caught will be detained upon arrival in Pakistan and legal action will be taken against them. Earlier this month, a total of 52,520 Pakistani nationals were banned from travelling abroad due to concerns related to illegal migration, deportation and criminal activities. Some of these have already been deported from other countries, such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Deportation from Saudi Arabia and other countries

The deportation of beggars from the UAE and several other Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, has intensified. A total of 4,210 beggars have been deported from Saudi Arabia, of which 1,546 have been placed under travel restrictions. 46,433 Pakistani nationals who have previously served jail sentences in the UAE have been banned from international travel due to security reasons.
