Hamas' october 7 attack led to 1,200 deaths ; Israel's retaliatory strikes continue

Tel Aviv (The Uttam Hindu): The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the killing of Hamas commander Abd al-Hadi Sabah the leader of the October 7, 2023 massacre at Kibbutz Nir Oz. Sabah who led Hamas' Nukhba Platoon in the Western Khan Yunis Battalion was targeted and eliminated in a drone strike in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza. The IDF stated that Sabah was a key figure in orchestrating the attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz during the deadly October 7 assault, which involved mass casualties and hostages. In addition Sabah was involved in advancing numerous terrorist operations against IDF troops throughout the ongoing conflict.
The IDF emphasized that operations will continue against all terrorists linked to the October 7 massacre. In another strike on the same day, the IDF and Shin Bet (Israel's General Security Service) killed Anas Muhammad Saadi Masri commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's northern rocket unit. Masri was responsible for directing rocket fire into Israeli border communities and overseeing various operations targeting both civilians and IDF soldiers. These actions are part of a broader effort by the IDF to eliminate Hamas operatives and those responsible for the October 7 massacre. Meanwhile the conflict has intensified with significant casualties on both sides.
