Brazil (The Uttam Hindu): German slackline athletes Friedi Kuehne and Lukas Irmler have set a new world record by walking on a slackline suspended between two hot air balloons at an altitude of 2,500 meters (8,202 feet). This achievement surpasses the previous record of 1,900 meters (6,234 feet), which was set in Brazil in 2021. Both Kuehne and Irmler are seasoned slackliners with several records to their names. In this daring attempt, they faced the challenges of high altitude and strong winds while maintaining their balance high above the clouds. The new record is 600 meters higher than their last attempt.

The International Slackline Federation has acknowledged this accomplishment as a new milestone for the sport. Videos from the event show the athletes carefully walking across a narrow slackline stretched between two large hot air balloons. Kuehne called this achievement the most thrilling experience for both him and Irmler, saying, "This is the craziest slackline world record we've ever attempted."

Previously, Irmler set a world record in 2019 for walking 2 kilometers on a slackline, while Kuehne achieved a record for walking 110 meters at a height of 250 meters without safety equipment. This latest record highlights their exceptional skill and bravery, illustrating the immense potential of human determination.
