Drone attack on Kazan mirrors 9/11: Tensions soar between Russia and Ukraine as buildings targeted!

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A major attack resembling the 9/11 incident in the U.S. has occurred in Russia, further escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine. According to reports, six large buildings in the Russian city of Kazan were targeted in drone attacks launched by Ukraine. The incident has brought back memories of the September 11 attacks in the United States. Pictures of the attack are rapidly circulating on social media.
Following the strikes, there was widespread panic in Kazan, with local residents feeling anxious and fearful. Russian aviation monitoring agency Rosaviatsiya confirmed that all flights at Kazan Airport were temporarily suspended due to the Ukrainian drone strikes. This decision was taken in response to the ongoing threat. Experts believe that this attack could mark a significant escalation in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, raising further doubts about the prospects of peace talks between the two countries. Security agencies and local authorities are on high alert, and additional security measures have been implemented in Kazan and surrounding areas.
Earlier, Russia had launched dozens of missiles and drones against Ukraine. At least one person was reported dead in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv from these attacks. Ukraine's air force reported that Russia launched 60 drones on Thursday night, of which 20 were shot down before reaching their targets. Additionally, five ballistic missiles were fired at cities and towns across Ukraine.
