America Targets Canada: Preparations Underway to Expel It

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The United States is reportedly considering expelling Canada from the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing group, although President Donald Trump has not made any official statement on the matter. The proposal to remove Canada from the group has been suggested by Peter Navarro, one of Trump’s closest advisors. The Five Eyes group, which includes the US, Canada, Britain, Australia, and New Zealand, has not received any official response from Canada as of now.

Navarro is pushing for Canada's removal, but it remains unclear whether Trump supports this proposal. Notably, Trump has previously expressed plans to make Canada a US state and has threatened to increase tariffs on the country. In addition, Steve Bannon, who played a key role in Trump’s 2016 election victory, has emphasized the seriousness of Trump’s plan to merge Canada with the US. He noted that Canada must understand that Trump’s intentions are not simply to provoke Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. However, Bannon also pointed out that removing Canada from the Five Eyes group could ultimately harm the United States.
