"Yeh lijiye, sir. Aagya main camera ke saamne": Mumbai Man Outsmarts Scammer Cop with Puppy in Viral Hit: WATCH
Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): A Mumbai man cleverly outwitted a scammer posing as a police officer using his puppy in a witty and humorous way. The hilarious encounter captured on video and shared on Instagram has left viewers in stitches. The video begins with the scammer claiming to be an officer from Andheri East police station and demanding that the man show his face on camera. Instead of complying the man picked up his tiny puppy and held it in front of the camera quipping, *"Yeh lijiye, sir. Aagya main camera ke saamne" (Here you go, sir. I'm in front of the camera).*
Flustered by the unexpected response, the scammer nervously smiled before quickly turning off his camera and disconnecting the call. The man continued to mock the scammer, calling out, *"Arey, thanedaar. Nakli vardi!" (Hey, officer. Fake uniform!).* The Instagram caption read, *"Pretend to be Mumbai Police. Scam call gone wrong,"* and the video has since gone viral, earning praise for the man’s quick wit and humor.
In contrast, not all scam encounters end on a light note. In Bengaluru, a 39-year-old software engineer recently lost Rs 11.8 crore in a "digital arrest" scam where fraudsters impersonating police officers accused him of money laundering. The scam reportedly took place between November 25 and December 12, highlighting the serious dangers of such fraudulent schemes.
