Watch Video: AAP Claims BJP Tried to Buy MLAs with Rs 15 Crore Ahead of Delhi Poll Results

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Just two days before the results of the Delhi Assembly elections, a significant allegation has been made by AAP MP Sanjay Singh. He claimed that the BJP attempted to contact seven AAP MLAs who contested the elections and offered them Rs 15 crore in an attempt to influence the election outcome. In a statement, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh revealed that seven AAP MLAs, who were part of the Assembly elections, had been approached by the BJP with an offer of Rs 15 crore each. Singh alleged that the BJP's intention was to break the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and secure a victory.

To address the issue, Singh stated that AAP had instructed all its contesting MLAs to record any such calls they receive. He emphasized that any offers made to the MLAs would be documented and reported to the authorities. He advised the MLAs to set up hidden cameras and record videos of any meetings involving such offers. "The information will be shared with the media and the public," Singh added, ensuring that his party's MLAs remained alert and cautious.
Sanjay Singh further stated, "Two things are now absolutely clear. First, the BJP has already accepted its defeat ahead of the counting on February 8, as they are losing badly. Secondly, the BJP has started using its familiar tactics of horse-trading in Delhi, a method they have employed across the country. They call it Operation Lotus or other names. They use money and pressure from investigative agencies to break the MLAs." This allegation comes just days before the crucial vote count for Delhi’s Assembly elections, with the AAP aiming to maintain its dominance in the region.
