Wife's Obsession with Nephew Leads to Brutal Axe Beheading of Husband, Carried Out by Nephew

Hanumangarh (The Uttam Hindu): In a shocking incident, a wife’s overwhelming love for her nephew turned deadly, leading to the gruesome murder of her husband in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district. The victim, Ugrasen was killed with a single blow to the neck with an axe while he was sleeping. The plot was masterminded by his wife, Ekta Rani who was staying at her parental home at the time and her nephew, Rajesh.

Ekta's infatuation with her nephew had grown so intense that she began to harbor hatred for her husband. She was planning to reunite with her nephew, Rajesh and had convinced him to murder her husband. On the night of the incident, Ekta informed Rajesh that her husband would be arriving to pick her up the next morning and before that, Ugrasen must be killed. The murder occurred in the village of Khinania, under the jurisdiction of Talwada police station. Ugrasen’s brother, Bhimsingh informed the police after discovering the horrific scene. When the police arrived, they found Ugrasen’s bloodied body on his bed, his throat slashed with a sharp weapon.

According to reports, Ekta had been having an illicit relationship with her nephew for years, a fact uncovered through mobile phone records during the investigation. The police have arrested both Ekta and Rajesh for their involvement in the crime.

Phone Call from the Victim’s Brother:

Ugrasen's brother contacted the police and reported that his brother's neck had been slashed with a sharp weapon and his lifeless body was found covered in blood. The police promptly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation, sending the body for a post-mortem examination.

The Wife Was at Her Parental Home:

At the time of the murder, Ugrasen was alone at home as his wife, Ekta Rani was at her parental home. Ugrasen had called her on January 21, telling her he was coming to pick her up. However, Ekta who had been in a long-term affair with her nephew did not want to return to her husband. Her relationship with Rajesh had been ongoing for years, which became evident through mobile records.

The Murder in One Blow:

During questioning, Rajesh confessed that Ekta had called him the night before and told him that Ugrasen would be arriving soon to take her back. She instructed him to kill Ugrasen before he arrived. Rajesh entered Ugrasen’s room while he was sleeping and after confirming he was deeply asleep, struck him once with the axe, killing him instantly.

SP’s Statement:

The police superintendent confirmed that a brutal murder had taken place in Talwada, where the victim’s own nephew was arrested for the crime. He further stated that the murder was carried out to eliminate Ugrasen, so the illicit relationship between Ekta and Rajesh could continue unhindered. The investigation revealed that Ekta had orchestrated the plot while staying at her parental home, and she too was arrested. The sharp weapon used in the crime was recovered during the investigation.
