Ghaziabad (The Uttam Hindu): The police in Ghaziabad under the Police Commissionerate of Uttar Pradesh have busted an immoral sex trade racket operating in spa centers after conducting a search operation based on a tip-off from an informant. The police conducted raids at multiple locations and rescued nine women involved in the illegal trade.

According to reports, the Kaushambi police team rescued nine women from a spa and therapy center where they were being exploited in the sex trade. Several accused, including the operators and customers were arrested on the spot. Assistant Police Commissioner of Indirapuram revealed the details of the operation. The operation came to light after the police received information from an informant regarding the unethical sex trade being carried out at the first and second floors of Shri Ram Plaza located in the main market of Sector 4 Vaishali. The operation involved luring poor women from rural areas into the racket. Raids were conducted at several locations including the Mountain Spa Center, Spa and Therapy Center and Golden Therapy Center. During the raids, the police rescued nine women.

7 Arrested Including Operators: The police team apprehended over half a dozen suspects, including the operators of the spa centers. Among those arrested were Kuldeep, a resident of Vivek Vihar in Delhi; Vicky Sowati, a resident of East Rohtas Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi; Shyam, a resident of Madhavpur, Siddharthnagar who was residing in Vaishali; Gagandeep Singh, a resident of Ram Nagar, Shahdara; Ravi Kumar, a resident of Janata Colony, Shahdara; Pankaj Rajput, a resident of Krishna Nagar, Karkardooma and a female operator. The police also recovered five registers, diaries, QR code scanners, visiting cards and other objectionable materials during the raid at the spa center. High Commission Per Deal: During interrogation, the accused and the female operator revealed that women were enticed with money to get involved in the business. Large sums of money were charged from customers and a commission was paid to the women involved in the trade.
