New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A myna bird, sporting a rather angry expression, has gone viral after landing directly in front of a highway traffic camera in the black-and-yellow tropical bird is seen staring directly into the camera, positioned above a road near Auckland, as reported by NBC News.“Wishing a great week ahead to everyone, except for this birdbrain who needs to mind its own business," the agency joked in the post.
"The myna bird is considered a pest in New Zealand – aggressive toward native birds, destroying their nests, eating native fruit, and overtaking other birds' territories. So, this wasn’t exactly a welcome appearance on our cameras." Introduced to New Zealand in the 1860s, myna birds are now widespread across the North Island. Known for their mimicry, they are classified as an invasive species due to the damage they cause to native ecosystems.
