Devastating tragedy: Police constable jumps in front of train after unbearable family abuse, suicide note blasts wife and father-in-law
Bengaluru (The Uttam Hindu): On Friday night, a 33-year-old police head constable, Tippanna, took his own life in Bengaluru. It is reported that he jumped in front of a train at Baiyappanahalli. The incident occurred after Tippanna, who was stationed at the Hulimavu police station, returned home after his duty. Once at home, he had a heated argument with his wife, which likely led to him taking this drastic step.
What Did the Suicide Note Say?
Tippanna left behind a one-page suicide note in Kannada, in which he accused his wife and father-in-law of harassment and mental torture. He claimed that on December 12, his father-in-law had threatened him, saying he should either die or be killed so that his daughter could live peacefully. Tippanna, who got married in 2021, did not have any children. According to the police, after the dispute with his wife, Tippanna left the house and took his own life. Railway officials alerted the police, who arrived at the scene. Based on the suicide note and initial investigation, the police have filed charges against his wife and father-in-law under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including abetment to suicide and criminal intimidation.
