Patna (The Uttam Hindu): In a heart-wrenching incident in Motihari, Bihar, a 12-year-old boy lost his life after his family opted to take him to a tantrik for ritualistic treatment instead of a doctor. The boy tragically passed away during the ritual, sparking outrage and disbelief.

Despite living in the modern era, blind faith and superstition continue to hold a firm grip on many, with people sacrificing everything—sometimes even their loved ones—in pursuit of dark rituals. This latest tragedy in Motihari highlights the deadly consequences of such misplaced beliefs.

When young Suman suddenly fell ill, his family chose to take him to an 18-year-old self-proclaimed tantrik, Rahil Khan, who had traveled from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, instead of seeking medical help. Rahil performed a series of rituals on the child, but tragically, the boy died during the process. It was only later, when they finally took him to a doctor, that they discovered their son had already passed away.

The tantrik, barely 18 to 20 years old, shamelessly claimed responsibility for saving many children's lives through his rituals, attributing the boy's death to the influence of spirits, witches, and the "evil eye."

This isn’t the first case of such blind faith leading to tragedy. Shocking incidents of human sacrifice, especially involving children, continue to surface. In many of these cases, children are abducted and sacrificed in the pursuit of gaining supernatural powers.
