Bengaluru (The Uttam Hindu) : The Bengaluru police have taken significant action in the Atul Subhash suicide case by arresting the victim's wife Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha Singhania, and brother Anurag Singhania. Nikita was arrested from Gurugram, while her mother and brother were apprehended from Prayagraj. After their arrests, they were brought to Bengaluru and presented before the court, which sent them to judicial custody.

On December 13, Bengaluru police had pasted a notice outside Nikita Singhania's residence in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, instructing her to appear for questioning regarding her husband's death. The Bengaluru police sought assistance from the Uttar Pradesh police in tracking down the accused, which led to their arrests. The three accused are alleged to have demanded ₹3 crore from Atul Subhash to withdraw the case against him and ₹30 lakh to grant him the right to meet his son.

Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old AI engineer, died by suicide in his Bengaluru apartment on Monday. Before taking the drastic step, he left behind a 24-page suicide note and a 90-minute video on the platform Rumble. In his suicide note, Atul accused his wife and her relatives of harassment. He also claimed that a judge had demanded ₹5 lakh to settle the case. After Atul's suicide, his in-laws went into hiding and abandoned their residence in Jaunpur. The police had been searching for them, and now the three accused have been arrested.
