Trump Administration Warned India, Offered Deal to Stop Buying Weapons from Russia

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): America is imposing heavy tariffs on many countries including India. At the same time, America has now started raising questions on India's defense system. A minister of the Trump government has objected to India's purchase of weapons from Russia.
US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has called on India to end its dependence on Russian military weapons and argued that such a move is necessary to strengthen relations between India and the US. Lutnick said, "India has historically bought a significant amount of its military equipment from Russia and we think this is something that needs to end."
Let us tell you that the friendship between India and Russia is decades old and India keeps buying weapons along with petroleum. Lutnik said that America is ready to give Mordar weapons to India as an alternative. It is clear from this that America wants India to buy weapons from it instead of Russia. Along with this, the US minister has also raised questions on India's presence in BRICS. He said that BRICS is trying to create a global currency as an alternative to the dollar. India is also in this BRICS. This weakens the US-India relations. He said, "These kinds of things do not create love and affection. We want these things to end. We want trade to be more fair."
