Train Derailment Attempt in UP: Massive Wooden Log Strikes Engine, Sparks Panic Among Passengers

Lucknow (The Uttam Hindu): Once again an attempt was made to overturn the train near Rahimabad railway station in the capital Lucknow. A major accident was averted due to the presence of mind of the loco pilot. A large piece of wood hit the railway engine near Rahimabad on the Lucknow-Moradabad railway track.

After the tree branch got stuck in the engine, the loco pilot immediately applied emergency brakes and stopped the train. Then he removed the heavy wooden log lying on the railway track and informed the railway officials. This is not the first incident, earlier also some miscreants had tried to derail the train near Malihabad railway station. At present, the police is investigating the matter with the help of BTS.

According to Rahimabad Inspector Anand Dwivedi, Railway Class IV employee (trackman) Rajesh Rajan has demanded action against some miscreants.
