New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A major terrorist attack has taken place once again in Pakistan's troubled Balochistan province on Sunday. Baloch terrorists targeted a convoy of security forces in Noshki area, which is said to include seven buses and two cars. Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) has been used in this attack, which has brought back memories of the Pulwama attack in India.

According to Pakistani officials, at least five security personnel have been killed and 13 others injured in this attack. At the same time, the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for this attack and said that about 90 Pakistani soldiers have been killed in their attack.

Giving information, a Pakistani official said that a bus was targeted by a vehicle-borne IED, which was probably a suicide attack. The second bus, which was going from Quetta to Taftan, was attacked with a rocket-propelled grenade. The soldiers injured in the attack have been taken to Noshki and FC Camp for immediate treatment. Noshki Station House Officer (SHO) Sumanali has feared that the number of dead and injured may increase, as the condition of many injured remains critical.

Soon after the attack, the Baloch Liberation Army issued a statement confirming the attack. The BLA said that their fidayeen squad 'Majeed Brigade' targeted a Pakistani army convoy near Rakhshan Mill on the RCD Highway in Noshki with a VBIED. According to the BLA, there were eight buses in the convoy, one of which was completely destroyed in the blast.

The BLA further claimed that their 'Fateh Squad' acted swiftly and surrounded another bus and killed all the army personnel on board, taking the total number of enemy casualties to around 90. The attack has further escalated the already tense situation in the area.
