According to media reports, FIRs have been filed against hundreds of Hindus including Hindu priest Chinmay Das who was arrested in Bangladesh. This step has come at a time when Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is going to visit Bangladesh today.
FIR against hundreds of Hindus including Chinmay Das before the visit of Indian Foreign Secretary in bangladesh : According to the Dhaka Tribune newspaper, a case has been filed on Sunday over the clash between police and followers of Hindu priest Chinmoy Krishna Das at a court premises in Chittagong. The Hindu leader, arrested on sedition charges, has been made the prime accused in the case, along with 164 identified persons and 400 to 500 unidentified people, the report said.
This complaint has been filed by businessman and Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh activist Inamul Haque in the court of Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddiqui. In the complaint, it is alleged that on November 26, while returning home after completing his work in the court, he was attacked by the followers of Chinmoy Krishna Das.
