Missing Woman Found Brutally Murdered and Hidden in Suitcase, Husband Detained

Bengaluru(The Uttam Hindu): Bengaluru police have recovered the body of a 32-year-old woman, Gauri Khedkar, from a suitcase in a flat in Dodda Kammanahalli, within the Hulimavu police limits. Gauri, a resident of Maharashtra, was found dead under suspicious circumstances, leading the police to detain her husband from Maharashtra for questioning.
The incident came to light after the flat owner received a call from Gauri’s husband, informing him about the body inside the flat. The owner immediately alerted the police. Around 5:30 PM, police arrived at the scene, where they found the flat locked from the outside. Upon breaking the lock and searching the apartment, officers discovered a suitcase in the bathroom. When they opened it, they found Gauri’s lifeless body inside.
Initially, police suspected suicide, but upon forensic examination, stab wounds were found on the body. This led to her husband’s detention as the primary suspect.
Gauri and her husband, Rakesh, had been married for two years and had rented the flat just a month ago. Rakesh worked as a project manager in a private firm, while Gauri was a homemaker searching for a job. While the husband remains the prime suspect, police are continuing their investigation to confirm the motive and details behind the crime.
