Kejriwal Urges PM Modi for 50% Student Discount in Delhi Metro

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party's National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which he has demanded 50 percent discount for students in Delhi Metro. Kejriwal said in his letter that both the Central and Delhi governments contribute to Delhi Metro, and hence both governments should bear the burden of this discount together.

He also mentioned in the letter that his government is going to start a free bus travel scheme for students. This step has been taken to make the travel of students in Delhi more accessible and affordable. Kejriwal has requested the Prime Minister to cooperate in implementing this scheme of 50 percent discount for students in Delhi Metro as soon as possible.
