New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Aam Aadmi Party has fielded its Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjeev Arora, for the upcoming by-election in the Ludhiana West Assembly seat. There are also discussions suggesting that Arvind Kejriwal might go to the Rajya Sabha from Punjab. However, the party has dismissed these speculations.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal's potential move to the Rajya Sabha has been clarified by AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar. According to Kakkar, Arvind Kejriwal is not going to the Rajya Sabha. Earlier, media sources were suggesting that he would become the Chief Minister of Punjab. Now, media sources are claiming that he will contest the Rajya Sabha elections. Both of these claims are completely false.
She further stated that Arvind Kejriwal is the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party. While his demand is very high, he is not limited to just one seat. Since losing power in Delhi and even his own seat, there have been continuous speculations about the future of Delhi's former Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal. Meanwhile, as one of AAP's Rajya Sabha MPs, Sanjeev Arora is contesting the by-election, speculation has grown that Kejriwal might go to the Rajya Sabha from Punjab. However, in the midst of all this, the Aam Aadmi Party has made it clear regarding Kejriwal's move to the upper house.
