New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): During the recent visit of PM Narendra Modi to America, the issue of neighboring Bangladesh has once again come into discussion. In a joint press conference, Donald Trump clarified that in the case of Bangladesh, "I leave it to PM Narendra Modi to decide how to deal with Mohammad Yunus' country." Trump made a strong comment on the political developments in Bangladesh, after which Mohammad Yunus has been constantly opening a front against India.

After this diplomatic victory, it is now the turn of India's special envoy, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, to "teach a lesson" to Bangladesh. Jaishankar will meet Bangladesh Foreign Affairs Advisor Mohid Hussain today during the 8th Indian Ocean Conference being held in Muscat. This inclusive conference is being organized in collaboration with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Omani government, in which foreign ministers of 27 countries are participating. Jaishankar will not only inaugurate the conference, but will also take a tough stand on Bangladesh's attitude in the meeting.

Meanwhile, attacks on Hindus have increased in Bangladesh in the past six months. The caretaker government has failed to control this, while Mohammad Yunus is pursuing his policies to target India in connection with the efforts to bring back Sheikh Hasina.

Under India's "Neighbor-First" policy, peace and stability is expected from neighboring countries. Now it has become the need of the hour to control the tough attitude of Bangladesh. S. Jaishankar's tough statement reflects India's clear policy in this direction that neighboring countries will have to be sensitive towards India's unity and security
