New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Former Karnataka DGP Om Prakash was found dead in his residence in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. According to information, the former DGP's blood-soaked body was recovered from his house. In the initial investigation of the police, the wife has been suspected of murder.

Former Karnataka DG and IGP Om Prakash was found dead in a pool of blood in his house in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. He was a 1981 batch IPS officer. His body has been sent for post-mortem. Police suspect that the retired officer's wife has killed him. At present, the case is being investigated from all angles. Police said that there are injury marks on the body of former Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Om Prakash, which raises suspicion that he may have been murdered. The 68-year-old IPS officer of the 1981 batch was a native of Champaran in Bihar and had an MSc degree in Geology.

Let us tell you that he was appointed Director General of Police on March 1, 2015. On receiving the information, senior police officers reached the spot. Police suspect the involvement of a close family member in this. The body has been sent for postmortem and investigation is going on.
