Delhi Assembly Turmoil: 11 AAP MLAs Including Atishi, Suspended Over CAG Report Uproar

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Tuesday's proceedings of the Delhi Assembly began with uproar. AAP MLAs started creating ruckus in the middle of the Lieutenant Governor's address. The Assembly Speaker expelled all AAP MLAs, including Atishi, from the House for the day. Apart from Atishi, the expelled MLAs include Virendra Kadyan, Kuldeep, Gopal Rai, Jarnail Singh, Sanjeev Jha, Anil Jha, Vishesh Ravi, Somdutt and Veer Singh Dhinghan.

Uproar amid LG's address, Speaker expels all AAP MLAs including Atishi: LG said in his address that the government will work on 5 major things which include Yamuna, pollution, corruption-free governance, regularization of unauthorized colonies. During the address of the Lieutenant Governor, BJP MLAs were seen raising slogans of 'Modi-Modi'. On the other hand, the AAP MLAs who were expelled from the house were seen protesting outside the Vidhansabha with the photo of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar in their hands. While talking to the media, Atishi said that BJP has removed the photo of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar from the CM Office and ministers' offices and has put up the photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She said, 'I want to ask the Bharatiya Janata Party, has Prime Minister Modi become bigger than Baba Saheb? Aam Aadmi Party protested against this and we will continue to protest from the House to the streets until Baba Saheb's picture is put in his place.
