New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Chief Minister Atishi raised Rs 10 lakh in just 4 hours in election crowd funding. This amount is considered an important step towards the crowd funding target of Rs 40 lakh set for her election campaign.

The Chief Minister had said in his appeal that Rs 40 lakh is required to contest the elections and requested the general public to contribute between Rs 100 and Rs 1000. After his appeal, 176 donors together donated Rs 10 lakh. Now it is expected that the stipulated amount of Rs 40 lakh will also be collected soon.

CM Atishi also says that we do honest politics and our honest politics was positive, that is why we did not ask for money from corporates or capitalists. If we had taken money from the bigwigs, we would not have been able to provide free water, electricity, mohalla clinics and education. The Kejriwal government has worked for the common people.

Let us tell you, voting for Delhi Assembly elections will be held on February 5 and the results will be declared on February 8. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party is engaged in this election campaign with full force.
