BJP Unveils Powerhouse Lineup for Delhi Elections, PM Modi Leads the Charge
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its list of star campaigners for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, set to take place on February 5. The list features a host of prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, and Dharmendra Pradhan, among 40 other key figures.
Notably, several Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from other states have been included in the list, such as Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis.
The BJP's star campaigners list also includes a wide range of leaders, including Virendra Sachdeva, Baijayant Panda, Atul Garg, Harsh Malhotra, Keshav Prasad Maurya, Premchand Bairwa, Dr. Harshvardhan, Hans Raj Hans, Manoj Tiwari, Ramveer Singh Bidhuri, and Smriti Irani, among others. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP's most influential leader, has already commenced his election campaign by addressing rallies and launching verbal attacks on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi. The voting for Delhi's Assembly elections will be held on February 5, with results scheduled to be declared on February 8. According to the Election Commission, a total of 1.55 crore voters, including 83,49,645 men, 71,73,952 women, and 1,261 third-gender voters, are eligible to cast their ballots. Following the announcement of the election schedule, the 'Model Code of Conduct' has come into effect, prohibiting the use of government resources for campaigning and mandating police permission for organizing election rallies.
