Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party has announced its candidate for Ludhiana West by-election. Rajya Sabha MP and industrialist Sanjeev Arora has been made the party's candidate. This seat was vacant after the death of MLA Gurpreet Gogi due to gunshot.

At the same time, the opposition party is alleging that efforts are being made to send party supremo Arvind Kejriwal from this seat. After which, on the discussions of sending Aam Aadmi Party's national convener Arvind Kejriwal to Rajya Sabha from Punjab, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said that no such talk has taken place at the party level yet. In 2018, he launched Femella Fashion Limited Company and founded the women's clothing brand Femella. After this, in the year 2019, he also entered the metal business, which has a partnership with Suzuki Motors under the Make in India scheme. His term in the Rajya Sabha as a member from Punjab started on 10 April 2022. Sanjeev Arora's term is till 2028.
