AAP nominates Sanjeev Arora as its candidate for Ludhiana West, filling the vacancy left by the late MLA.

Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party has announced its candidate for Ludhiana West by-election. Rajya Sabha MP and industrialist Sanjeev Arora has been made the party's candidate. This seat was vacant after the death of MLA Gurpreet Gogi due to gunshot.

This information was released by the party. Sanjeev Arora became a Rajya Sabha MP in the year 2022. At the same time, the opposition party is alleging that efforts are being made to send party supremo Arvind Kejriwal from this seat. After which, on the discussions of sending Aam Aadmi Party's national convener Arvind Kejriwal to Rajya Sabha from Punjab, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said that no such talk has taken place at the party level yet. The opposition is raising such issues to divert attention. Opposition leaders cannot raise any issue inside the assembly nor can they say anything, so they are raising such issues to mislead.

His company exports to the USA and has an office in Virginia. Sanjeev Arora has also developed Hampton Business Park and Hampton Homes on Chandigarh Road, which serves as a hub for 70 industries. In 2018, he launched Femella Fashion Limited Company and founded the women's clothing brand Femella. After this, in the year 2019, he also entered the metal business, which has a partnership with Suzuki Motors under the Make in India scheme. His term in the Rajya Sabha as a member from Punjab started on 10 April 2022. Sanjeev Arora's term is till 2028.
