YouTube Introduces New Notification System to Reduce Unwanted Alerts

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): If you've ever been frustrated by receiving excessive notifications from channels you no longer watch, relief is on the way. Google has announced it’s testing a new notification system on YouTube aimed at reducing notifications from channels you haven't engaged with in a while, without requiring you to unsubscribe.
Under this new system, if a user hasn’t watched a channel’s videos for an extended period, they will no longer receive push notifications from that channel. However, all updates will still be available in the notification inbox within the YouTube app. Channels that users actively engage with or those that upload content occasionally will not be affected. This change will allow users to stay connected with the content they care about, without the clutter of unwanted notifications.
Currently, this feature is still being tested, and only a select group of users will experience the new changes. Google is evaluating the feedback to determine if it improves the user experience.
Other recent changes on YouTube include the introduction of an additional review process for videos that receive a "Limited or No Ads" rating and the testing of a new feature to hide the end screen on both desktop and mobile.
Stay tuned for these updates and enjoy a more streamlined YouTube experience!
