Reliance and TCS Drive Rs 2.1 Lakh Crore Market Gain for Top 7 Companies

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The combined market valuation of the top seven most valued companies rose by Rs 2,10,254.96 crore last week, led by Reliance Industries and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The BSE Sensex gained 1,134.48 points (1.55%), while the NSE Nifty rose by 427.8 points (1.93%).
Reliance Industries saw a surge of Rs 66,985.25 crore, reaching a market valuation of Rs 16,90,328.70 crore, while TCS added Rs 46,094.44 crore to reach Rs 13,06,599.95 crore, regaining the second spot in the rankings.
Other gainers included State Bank of India (Rs 39,714.56 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 35,276.3 crore), ITC (Rs 11,425.77 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 7,939.13 crore), and Hindustan Unilever (Rs 2,819.51 crore).
On the downside, HDFC Bank's market valuation fell by Rs 31,832.92 crore, and Bajaj Finance saw a decline of Rs 8,535.74 crore. Infosys also lost Rs 955.12 crore in market value.
Reliance Industries remained the most valued company, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC.
