Kalyani Powertrain Partners with Compal Electronics for Manufacturing X86 Platform Servers in India

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Kalyani Powertrain, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharat Forge, has entered into a technology licensing agreement with Compal Electronics, Inc. for the manufacturing of X86 platform servers in India. The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop a server business using locally manufactured solutions, aligning with the Indian government's Make in India initiative. Under the agreement, Compal will provide Kalyani Powertrain with technological support for servers, including guidance on local production, assembly, testing, and final sales.

In addition, Kalyani Powertrain's electronics division announced the launch of Made in India servers from its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, in February 2025. The company stated that the factory is expected to boost local businesses and make significant contributions to the region's manufacturing potential.
