New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A 37-year-old woman, Jasvir Kaur, tragically took her own life by consuming pesticide in Manuke village, Moga district, Punjab. The incident came to light when ASI Raghuveer Singh of Nihal Singh Wala police station arrived at the scene and began investigating the matter. According to Singh, Jasvir had been under significant mental stress for some time, primarily due to her husband's addiction to drugs and the financial hardships that plagued the family. Jasvir was also the mother of four children, which added to her worries.

Upon investigation, the police found no suicide note or any evidence suggesting foul play. The initial findings point to suicide, with no signs of murder. Based on the statements of her husband, Beant Singh, the police have registered a case and initiated further proceedings. This tragic incident highlights the ongoing struggles faced by individuals in situations of financial instability and emotional distress, leaving the community to mourn the loss of a mother and wife.
